Levodropropizine is a new molecule with strong antitussive activity, mainly at the peripheral tracheobronchial level, associated with antiallergic and antibronchospastic activity. In addition, in animals, it has a local anesthetic effect. Levodropropizine has no narcotic activity and does not induce physical or psychological dependence. Therapeutic doses have no effect on the central nervous system. Levodropropizine does not depress respiratory function or mucociliary clearance.
